I'm Almost Done (And Then Some)

Well I finally acquired book #13 of the Stephanie Plum series today at the library. I'm sure I'll finish it tomorrow with the impending snowstorm looming over us. Then all I have left to read is the 3rd between-the-numbers novel, Plum Lucky. Unfortunately, the library doesn't have it yet & I can't justify buying in when it will only take about 90 minutes to read.
I also read the 2 novels in Janet Evanovich's other mystery/suspense/romance series about a woman named Alex Barnaby & a NASCAR driver named Sam Hooker. Also very good reads. I highly recommend anything by Janet Evanovich.
Maybe now that I'm just about done reading these books for a while I can start sewing again. I think I owe a few people purses & wallets & then I'd like to get several more made to start selling. If anyone's interested please let me know.

Warm Days....More Snow.

We had a couple warmer days this weekend (40 degrees!). On Sunday the kids & I spent a while playing outside. We made snow angels, played frisbee, played baseball with snowballs (Emma can hit!), and sledded down the big snowbank at the far end of the parking lot. We even saw 2 bald eagles fly over our house on their way to the river. Too cool! Then the kids got wet in the puddle so we had to come in & dry off.
Yesterday I made a star for my mom using the Basic Grey Figgy Pudding line. I almost didn't want to give it away, but I'll just have to enjoy it at her house, I guess. It was so nice out in the afternoon, too, that we were able to eat lunch out on my parents' back deck while the kids played in the snow. They wore snowpants & mittens, but half the time they didn't have on their coats & hats. And here we are expecting more snow today, switching to rain/sleet. Yuck! I can't wait for mud season, I mean Spring!
Oh, and I'm adding the link to my gallery at 2 Peas in a Bucket so anyone can check out my scrapbook pages whenever they want. Thanks so much for reading!

New Colors!

I was getting a little bored with the other colors & style I had here before, so I thought I'd play around & find something new. Since I love green & purple this works well for me....for now.
Ok, I've been on antibiotics for an ear infection for a full week now. I feel better, but I still can't hear out of my left ear. When will I hear normally again?????
I really feel like scrapping today, so I need to print some pictures & get some inspiration. First I have to get off this computer!
Enough random thoughts for the morning......

My Star

I originally saw this idea last year in a scrapbook magazine. Then a few weeks ago I saw one on display at the local scrapbook store. I bought the Basic Grey papers and then I found the stars on sale for $2 each the other day at Tate's. I just finished it this morning & I hung it in our entry way by the front door (for now). I'm very pleased with how it turned out!

Finally, The Princess Pics!

Oops! I guess I forgot to post the pictures of Emma from last Sunday's trip to see the Disney Princesses on Ice. We had a great time, despite my ear infection & the yucky weather. We had brunch at the buffet with Gramma & Michelle, then we did a little shopping at the Christmas Tree Shop, then we headed to the Civic Center to find parking & see the show. It lasted for 2 hours, so I think she got a little sleepy by the end, but she seemed to really enjoy seeing all of her favorite princesses. And you know, the nosebleed seats aren't all that bad. You can really see everything from up there! (Oh, and Emma even got a souvenir Mickey crown for Jake. What a nice sister!)

New Kid Pics (for the NJ family)

I just thought I'd post a couple pics I took of the kids yesterday. I know that Mom Mom checks my blog so I wanted her to have some new pictures to look at!

Tomorrow is the long-awaited Disney Princess Ice Show! Emma's been counting down & it's finally 1 day away. Our only issue may be getting there. We are expecting another 4-8 inches of snow tonight into tomorrow. As long as the show isn't cancelled we'll still be there. Jake & Daddy may have to change their plans though.....
Also, for those of you who are into reading, I am very involved in the Stephanie Plum series by Janet Evanovich, and I highly recommend them. I read the first book (out of 13 so far) around Xmas. I read books 2-6 this past week and now I need to get book 7 from the library. Erin has most of them for me to borrow, but she's missing a few. They are so addictive!
Be sure to check back with me soon as I plan on getting a few pictures tomorrow. Thanks for reading!

Mom's Little Bag

Here's the little bag I made for my mom yesterday. It measures 7"x7.5" and has just a short little handle. It's perfect for her little books.

Oh, and the kids each have an ear infection. Thank goodness it's not strep, but they're on antibiotics for 10 days. They have yucky colds as well, which unfortunately both Bobby & I have caught too. Oh well, that's what we get in Maine in the winter.
And only 8 more days until Emma & I go with my mom & Michelle to Disney Princesses on Ice. We're very excited! Jake & Bobby will have a boys' afternoon & will probably head to the toy store to spend Jake's gift certificate. The countdown is on!

Tote Bag

So I've been wanting to make a bigger tote-style bag lately & yesterday I finally did it! It measures approximately 2o"x20" so it's nice & big (perfect for a new dance bag!). I guess it could also make a good scrap tote as well. There's one pocket on the front with my initial, 2 on the back, layered so there's one small pocket on top of a larger one, and three pockets side by side inside the bag. I love it! Maybe I

could make a career out of this after-all.........
